Receptionist Needed

We have an open position in our Health Center for a part-time receptionist who is responsible for greeting visitors and guests of The Forest as well as providing administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides approved/authorized information to residents, guests, and team members.
  • Retrieves and delivers mail throughout the Center every day.
  • Answers telephones for Healthcare and routes calls to appropriate individuals as well as maintains accurate staff and resident telephone lists.
  • May make resident appointments, perform clinical duties, receive and direct phone calls, and send messages as appropriate.
  • Maintains physician on-call roster, updates MD roster monthly, and assists with routing calls to proper place.
  • Supports MDs, nursing staff, and facility staff by sending and receiving faxes and providing necessary records.
  • Performs office work such as making copies and simple maintenance measures for copier functioning issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and passion for working with the elderly.
  • Experience in handling multi-line phone system, general computer knowledge, and call bell system.
  • Ability to handle high stress situations with phone calls, resident requests, nursing requests, and emergencies.
  • Knowledge or experience of working in an office setting/environment.
  • Mid-level competency in computer skills and experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform responsibilities that require analytical skills such as simple bookkeeping, medical records, and medical abbreviations.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English proficiently.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus.
